HOW I GOT HERE
Engineer first, always
I started as an engineer, then spent two years as a field engineer running drilling and measurement operations for Schlumberger — a job that meant working rigs across the US and Canada and getting comfortable making calls under pressure, far from a desk.
That experience pulled me toward the business side of hard problems, which is what took me to INSEAD for my MBA. From there I moved through oil & gas product marketing, into hardware new product introduction, then enterprise SaaS, and eventually into the data and AI platform work I do today.
The common thread the whole way through: I like being close to the messy, technical middle of a problem, not just the slide about it.

I got my Private Pilot License in 2025 and fly regularly out of Northern California. Learning to fly meant learning to sit with fear, stay calm under pressure, and trust a checklist — habits that have quietly rewired how I approach risk and systems at work too.
I still think in checklists. It turns out that's a pretty good way to run a data governance program as well as a pre-flight walk-around.

- Slow down for the pre-flight checklist — every time, no exceptions.
- Calm under pressure is a skill you practice, not a personality trait.
- The instruments matter more than your gut when visibility is low.
LIFE OUTSIDE WORK
Hera, hot pot, and the open road
Our Border Collie, Hera, joins almost every trip — including the Airstream run up and down the West Coast in 2024. She has opinions about hiking pace and none about my cooking.
Speaking of which: I cook a lot, and I take hot pot very seriously wherever I travel — ask me for a recommendation in almost any city and I probably have one.
I'm a native Mandarin speaker with professional fluency in Spanish, which comes in handy running two import/e-commerce brands and generally getting around.
MILESTONES
The timeline so far
West Coast, by Airstream
Took our Airstream across Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, and Utah while wrapping up my role leading ML and platform products at Amazon Global Logistics. Adopted Hera, a high-energy Border Collie who now joins most trips.
Two brands, one license
Launched Silva Lab (plant-based filtration products) and LeFaubourg Trading (home décor), testing branding, sourcing, and e-commerce from the ground up. Earned my Private Pilot License and started flying regularly out of Northern California. Kept deepening my AI and data skills, and began volunteering at Sierra Nevada Hospital's Cancer Center.

Leading data governance and MDM strategy for one of Walmart's largest delivery driver networks, still growing both brands, and still looking for the next place to fly Hera and me to. I'll keep this page updated as it unfolds.
